Learn To Focus On Solutions Not On Problems

When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens wouldn't work at zero gravity (ink won't flow down to the writing surface).
To solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

And what did the Russians do...??
They used a pencil.

Moral

Always look for simple solutions. Devise the simplest possible solution that solves the problems :-).

LEARN TO FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS NOT ON PROBLEMS.

The hare and the tortoise – new age story

The hare and the tortoise – new age story
Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster.

They decided to settle the argument with a race. They agreed on a route and started off the race. The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time. Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race. He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep.

The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ.

The hare woke up
and realized that he'd lost the race.
The moral- "Slow and steady wins the race. This is the version of the
story that we've all grown up with."

THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE

there are few more interesting
things.....it continues as follows..... .

The hare was disappointed at losing the race and he did some
soul-searching.
He realized that he'd lost the race only because he had been overconfident,
careless and lax.
If he had not taken things for granted, there's no way the tortoise could have beaten him. So he challenged the tortoise to another race.
The tortoise agreed. This time, the hare went all out and ran without
stopping from start to finish. He won by several miles.
The moral - " Fast and consistent will always beat the slow and steady.
It's good to be slow and steady; but it's better to be fast and reliable."

THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE

The tortoise did some thinking this time, and realized that there's no
way it can beat the hare in a race the way it was currently formatted.

It thought for a while, and then challenged the hare to another race, but
on a slightly different route. The hare agreed. They started off. In keeping
with his self-made commitment to be consistently fast, the hare took off and
ran at top speed until he came to a broad river. The finishing line was a
couple of kilometers on the other side of the river.

The hare sat there
wondering what to do.
In the meantime the tortoise trundled along, got into the river, swam to the opposite bank, continued walking and finished the race.

The moral - "First identify your core competency and then change the
playing field to suit your core competency."

THE STORY STILL HASN'T ENDED

The hare and the tortoise, by this time, had become pretty good friends
and they did some thinking together.

Both realized that the last race could
have been run much better So they decided to do the last race again, but to
run as a team this time.

They started off, and this time the hare carried the tortoise till the riverbank. There, the tortoise took over and swam
across with the hare on his back. On the opposite bank, the hare again carried
the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together. They both felt a
greater sense of satisfaction than they'd felt earlier.
The moral - "It's good to be individually brilliant and to have strong
core competencies; but unless you're able to work in a team and harness each
other's core competencies, you'll always perform below par because
there will always be situations at which you'll do poorly and someone else
does well.

Teamwork is mainly about situational leadership, letting the person
with the relevant core competency for a situation take leadership.
Note that neither the hare nor the tortoise gave up after failures. The
hare decided to work harder and put in more effort after his failure. The
tortoise changed his strategy because he was already working as hard as
he could."
In life, when faced with failure,
sometimes it is appropriate to work
harder and put in more effort.

Sometimes it is appropriate to change strategy and try something different.

And sometimes it is appropriate to do both.

The hare and the tortoise also learn another vital lesson. When we stop competing against a rival and instead start competing against the
situation, we perform far better.

10 habits of loving couple

1. Say "I Love You" at least once a day. Your partner does need to hear the words.

2. Kiss good-bye & hello. Throw in a hug while you're at it.

3. "Date" your partner for the rest of your lives. Treat your partner even better than when you were dating... Remember that you are sweethearts:
open her door
straighten his tie
hold out her chair
hold hands when you're walking together

4. Don't sweat the small stuff. You can let his/her bad habits bother you to distraction. .. or you can accept them, and work around them. Does she leave the cap off the toothpaste? Buy separate tubes... Does he leave clothes laying around? Ignore them, or pick them up, remembering just how much he does for you in other ways. Or, make it easier for your partner to satisfy you... buy several clothes hampers and keep them handy.

5. Concentrate on the positive. Instead of thinking about the ways that s/he lets you down, think of all the positive things about your partner that drew you to them in the first place.

6. Take a breather when you're mad. Don't try to talk when either of you are angry. Take a few minutes to walk around the block, lay down, just get away from each other so you can regroup. A short break will allow you both to stay on track and discuss what's bothering you instead of accidentally making personal insults that you will regret later.

7. Don't use your partner's secrets or weaknesses against them... ever! What may seem insignificant, trivial, or cute to you may be serious to your partner. Recognize what is important to your partner, and don't discuss it with your friends, mother, his family, anyone! And certainly don't throw the words back at them in an argument. A loving relationship is one of the most intimate and trusting that anyone can have.

8. Think about your partner first. If both of you do this, then you can't help but win! Say "yes" to your partner as often as possible... go to that sports event with him, get him out on that golf course because he loves golf, make life easier for your partner, and hopefully they will do the same for you!

9. R-E-S-P-E-C- T your partner. Don't badmouth your partner to anyone! When you talk about your partner, let your respect and love shine through.

10. Find a way to regroup together every day. Discover what works well for you both... eat a meal together, meet for happy hour drinks, skip Leno at night and just lay in bed in the dark, take a walk around the block, etc. You can even mix things up and vary your routine. If one of you is traveling, call home at night just to hear their voice. The point is to spend time together daily, just talking or breathing the same air, feeling connected.

Happiness - 10 Paths to Self Discovery

Ten Steps to Loving Yourself

Louise Hay's famous book, 'You Can Heal Your Life' has helped countless people on the path to self discovery, and ultimately loving themselves.
We humans are abundant in the excuses that we manufacture as to why we are unable to love ourselves.

This underlying core belief of not being worthy stops us from reaching the very thing we say we so desperately want. It doesn't have to be that way! You have a choice, and if you follow Louise's ten steps , you will reach the destination you have been yearning for all your life.
Remember, the secret is loving yourself , so here goes are you willing to change? If you are, here is what you do.

1. Put an end to all criticism —— it never achieves or changes anything. Acceptance of yourself is key, when you approve of yourself, positive changes will come in to your life.

2. Stop thinking scary thoughts —— If you find yourself doing that, change it to a mental image that brings you pleasure. Maybe thinking of your dog, a flower, food whatever brings you peace.

3. Be gentle , kind and patient —— Treat yourself as you would your best friend, in fact be your best friend! Be gentle with yourself, be kind to yourself, and be patient with yourself as you learn to change your thinking.

4. Be kind to your mind —— Gently change your thoughts, let go of the self hatred you are expressing with your thoughts. Don't judge or hate yourself for having those thoughts, quietly and gently change them.

5. Praise yourself —— Pat yourself on the back, criticism can only break your inner spirit. Praise will build it up, so praise yourself as much as you can.

6. Be supportive —— You support friends in need, do the same for yourself. If you need help ask for it, that is a sign of true strength. Allowing others to help you is self nurturing.

7. Love the negatives in your life —— Own it, acknowledge that you bought them into your life to fulfill a need. Thank them for the lessons they have bought, lovingly release them, and make room for the positive ones you are creating today.

8. Love and take care of your body —— Ensure that you look after your body, as well as you look after your car! So many of us would not miss the cars service, or think of putting the wrong fuel or oil into the engine, but don't give a second thought to what we fuel our bodies with. Cherish your body, and it will serve you well.

9. Look into the mirror —— Really look into your eyes often, and express the love you feel for yourself, say it out loud. I love you, I really love you!

10. Do it now —— Don't wait until the 'right' time to start loving yourself. The right time is now, not when you lose ten pounds, get a new job, or find a new partner. The time to start is now, all you need to do is the best you can.

I wonder how many ' I can't do that's ran through your head when reading this article? My reply to that is, if you think you can't, then you are right. Alternatively, if you think you can, then you are also right. They are thoughts, and thoughts can be changed. If your thoughts have not given you the life you want, then I lovingly suggest that you start loving yourself now.

“Never postpone joy! Enjoy each second, so every moment becomes, the golden moment of your life!"

A Glass of Milk ... touching story

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.

She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."

He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart." As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Year's later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.

He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.

She read these words.....
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed)
Dr. Howard Kelly

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

You are Wonderful!!

The following true story captured our heart. It happened several years ago in the Paris opera house. A famous singer had been contracted to sing, and ticket sales were booming. In fact, the night of the concert found the house packed and every ticket sold.

The feeling of anticipation and excitement was in the air as the house manager took the stage and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your enthusiastic support. I am afraid that due to illness, the man whom you've all come to hear will not be performing tonight. However, we have found a suitable substitute we hope will provide you with comparable entertainment."

The crowd groaned in disappointment and failed to hear the announcer mention the stand-in's name. The environment turned from excitement to frustration.

The stand-in performer gave the performance everything he had. When he had finished, there was nothing but an uncomfortable silence. No one applauded.

Suddenly, from the balcony, a little boy stood up and shouted, "Daddy, I think you are wonderful!" The crowd broke into thunderous applause.

We all need people in our Lives who are willing to stand up once in a while and say, "I think you are wonderful. "

A Date

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take
another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said I
love you but I know this other woman loves you and
would love to spend some time with you.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my
MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the
demands of my work and my three children had made it
possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner
and a movie.

'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked? My mother is
the type of woman who suspects that a late night call
or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.
'I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,' I
responded. 'Just the two of us.'
She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I
would like that very much.'

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up
I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I
noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our
date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had
curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had
worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary.
She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an
angel's.

'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my
son, and they were impressed, 'she said, as she got
into the car. 'They can't wait to hear about our
meeting'. We went to a restaurant that, although not
elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my
arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down,
I had to read the menu. Large print. Half way through
the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting
there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips.
'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you
were small,' she said.

'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the
favor,' I responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation -
nothing extraordinary, but catching up on recent
events of each other's life. We talked so much that we
missed the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll go
out with you again, but only if you let me invite
you.' I agreed.

'How was your dinner date?' asked my wife when I got
home. 'Very nice. Much more so than I could have
imagined,' I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart
attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have time to do
anything for her.

Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy
of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and
I had dined.

An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in advance. I
wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I
paid for two plates - one for you and the other for
your wife. You will never know what that night meant
for me. I love you, son.'

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying
in time: 'I LOVE YOU!' and to give our loved ones the
time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more
important than God and your family. Give them the
time they deserve, because these things cannot be put
off till 'some other time.'

Pass this along to everyone with an aging parent, to a
child, to an adult, to anyone with a parent.
Enjoy your day

17 Steps to Success and Motivation

I would like to give you some tips on how to find motivation. Here are the things that I suggest you to do : the first thing is to ask yourself how to overcome your "Enemy", which is called Procrastination.

Procrastination is the biggest enemy you have to fight in your life! They are deadly distractions on your road to success. You have to constantly be aware of it and stop procrastination leading you to make excuses not to act!

I suggest that you first look at your daily habits : are they protecting you from the enemy and pushing you towards your dreams? If not, well, you have some work to do! Let me give you some thoughts and steps that will help you on your turnaround process :

1. Close the doors of your past and open the ones of your future;

2. Expect to stretch yourself, starting with small steps;

3. Build your foundations first and let the seeds grow;

4. What you are now is the direct result of your daily actions. You can only blame yourself for your results;

5. Where do you have low beliefs and doubts? What do you tell to yourself? Do you have the life you love?

6. Take the mindset to commitment to the long-term: what you build today builds your future.Go to the next level; be in the winning game!

7. Success is a decision over procrastination that cost your dreams. If you choose to be a champion,
there will be no limits, because there will be no competition! You will stay out of the lines, enjoying freedom and happiness.

8. Become a warrior of your life purpose and focus on it! Go from your comfort zone to your construction zone, even if it takes uncomfortable decisions.Never quit! (life is a symphony and there always will be high and law notes) : just stay in the process of growing!

9. Success is about hearing the truth and willing to challenge yourself;

10. Look at what you do behind the scenes : are your words, actions, attitudes leading you to success?

11. Move forwards your dreams on a daily basis. Plant the seeds, and the harvest will come one day;

12. Look inside yourself and tap into your greatness : Believe in you, move away from negativity,decide you will not be denied;

13. Listen to your heart : become INTERNALLY DRIVEN, develop your spirituality (relation to your creative source).

14. There is a place for you if you want to step out and leave "comfort city";

15. There is no option to quit : your determination will create your destination;

16. Don't ask life to be easier, but become better; it's how you react to adversity and pain that matters;

17. Again, refuse to give up on your ultimate achievement of your life purpose;

18. Fight adversity daily (negative people, stupid ideas): This makes losers!

19. Elevate yourself to leadership : separate you from the crowd and ACT!Develop an excited mentality!

15. Look at your 5 best friends? Are they successful, are they givers? If not, then look again whom you have been listening to! Listen to mentors and forward-thinking people.

Now, what would be the steps to reach success in whatever you do? How do you bridge the gap between who and where you are now and where and who you want to be in the future? How do you open the doors to prosperity, wealth and unlimited abundance?
First, remember we are all empowered to live a blessed life! So, have faith! Here are a few crucial steps that will help you on your road to fulfillment:

1. Take responsibility for your actions : look in the mirror and think about what you do!

2. Take Daily Actions : remember : faith without corresponding actions is nothing! Speak out loud positive affirmations in which you truly believe;

3. Go into mentorship : our relationships make our degree of happiness! Who are you with? Who are you listening to? Extract information from your mentors. They will challenge you, but will help you come out of your "hole"...

4. Check your words and actions : what do you speak out? Is it an image of championship? Does is it reflect your vision?

5. Be committed! Decide if you are willing to pay the price of your transformation. Decide to be persistent, focused on growth;Your commitment and actions create your future;

6. Trust in yourself and love yourself;

7. Does your life purpose drive any decision you make? Who are you down deep? Does your "Why" move you? It must empower you.

8. Give an End to the excuses that are keeping you from growing : your "enemy" wants to steal your
dreams, your energy, your enthusiasm, your gifts, your motivation.

9. Listen, be silent : see your body with your eyes in a mirror. Look at what comes out. How do you feel? Is your heart full of success-attitude? Are you accountable for every action you take? Are you honest and loving? Listen to your inner voice. Our completion resides in us first.

10. Focus on making a difference in people's lives. Don't focus on money! This mindset of giving and
receiving will bring a big harvest;Intend to win, to explode and unleash your potential, your inner brilliance!

11. Look inside you? Who mentors you? Be immersed in personal growth daily, in teaching and loving.

12. Shut the doors on excuses, exit your old life and open the door on prosperity. Give and not
take from others. Give value to the world. Stand-up, stand out, step-up into your goals and dreams.

13. Believe in the possibilities (others did it also). Don't diminish yourself.

14. Have a "Yes" mind : your intention must be high, your attachment (the "how") must be low : just let go! Use your "You" power. Be you. Develop a strong Wisdom of what you want to become;

15. Practice forgiveness : your heart will start vibrating with positive energy!

16. Happiness is a choice : "Be" first, "do and have" after : eliminate "When I...,I will"!

17. Control your emotions and learn not to be controlled by them!

I hope these steps will help you on your way to wealth, growth and success!

Discover the Reasons for Memory Loss

It is common for memory loss to start off with misplacing your car keys or an inability to recall simple things such as your grocery list. With some effort, memory loss is not inevitable and can be prevented by taking preventive measures. The key is in identifying the possible causes of memory loss. Some common causes of memory loss are old age and alcohol abuse.

Stress
It is more difficult to recall or learn something when you are feeling stressed, tired, anxious or angry – symptoms of overworking your mind. The human body has defense mechanisms built in to protect itself, and these emotions could be a possible cause of memory loss as your mind is handling more than enough already. In order to deal with this, make an effort to give your mind a break. You will find that you are able to remember more easily when your mind is alert and well-rested. This allows you to pay more attention to detail and commit more to memory.

Healthy stress will provide you with motivation, whilst unhealthy stress can make learning more difficult. Working under stress is a cause of memory loss as your mind has too many things to cope with, and may not be a symptom of dementia. For soon to be mothers experiencing stress, the child that is born may find it difficult to learn as it shrinks the part of the brain that is related to memory.

Amnesia
Amnesia occurs when one’s memory is affected, due to either organic or functional causes. Examples of organic causes include brain damage through physical trauma or diseases, whilst functional causes include psychological elements such as the body’s defense mechanisms. Traumatic amnesia occurs due to head injuries, with the period of memory loss related to the degree of injury. Another type of amnesia is psychogenic amnesia, which is an adaptive response that enables children to cope with trauma by repressing events, thus allowing them to maintain an attachment to someone that has abused them.

Dementia
Dementia is a cause of memory loss due to old age. Depending on the extent of memory loss, it may be reversible if it has not reached an advanced stage. A few symptoms to look out for include changes in the character of the person suffering from it and delirium. Dementia can be detected and cured through regular blood tests which identify cues to doctors. This allows for the prescriptions of folic acid, calcium, vitamin B12 etc.

Your memory is worth more than money, which you cannot take to your grave. Above are some of the causes of memory loss, and by pursuing a healthy lifestyle you can circumvent memory loss. Take steps to ensure that your memories are preserved!

Beating the Stress You Face Everyday

It's true, stress is unavoidable. It doesn't matter who you are, where you live, or what you do for a living you are going to encounter stress. Stress can be both good and bad for you. It can be good because small amounts of stress will ensure that you get out of bed in the morning and tend to your responsibilities.

When you are dealing with too much stress you may become depressed, feel fatigued all the time, develop irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, and even suffer from hives! Dealing with stress is important and when you combine affirmations for stress with other stress busting techniques you can lower your stress levels so that you can live a happy, healthy life.

Methods to Beat Stress

Stress affirmations alone help a lot of people beat the stress. These simple statements are compromised of the way you would like to think or feel in a given situation and are simple reminders that stress happens for a reason and it can't tear you down if you don't let it.

Stress affirmations can become your personal sanity statements. For instance you may say when you come stressed, "I am breathing-in peace, and breathing-out stress and negativity." When you do this you take the power back from the stressful situation and you are able to function on a much more efficient level.

Combining stress affirmations with other methods of relaxation is a good idea. For instance, strive to find just 10 or 15 minutes when you are stressed to lie down and allow the stress to leave your body. In this situation your affirmations may be something like, "I can feel the stress leaving my body. Stress has no control over me." This is a great way to become grounded and it truly doesn't take much time. In just ten or fifteen minutes you can return to reality and you'll be able to approach all of your stressors from a new prospective.

Another stress buster that you can pair with stress affirmations is exercise. A lot of people find that exercise two or three times a week helps to melt away all of their stresses. Though exercise cannot solve all of your problems, it can help you slow down your thought process and gain a new perspective. Sometimes this is all you need to be able to better deal with the stresses that you experience in your life.

Many people find that 30 minutes each week to do something that they love to do is another great way to beat their stress. You may have to use positive affirmations to make sure this happens, but it is a good idea. For instance, if you like to go on nature walks but you don't make time for it, you could use an affirmation such as, "Doing what I love to do replenishes my passion to keep me moving forward," and when you are about to schedule work instead of "fun time", you can repeat this affirmation to yourself. Positive affirmations help to remind you that you need to take care of yourself at every turn.

Rewarding Yourself - You Deserve It!

Life shouldn't be all work and no play. I'm a big believer in rewarding yourself with those things that support feelings of happiness and relaxation.

Here's some advice I received many years ago and would like to pass along to you: Leave at least ten percent of everyday for yourself. Soak in the tub, sit in your favorite chair and read, walk or exercise regularly, listen to your favorite music, write that novel you've been putting off or plan a social evening with special friends.

If you don't make time for yourself, you're going to burn out physically, emotionally and spiritually. How are you going to enjoy and appreciate abundance and wealth if you're sick, stressed or tired?

You deserve a reward for all the day-after-day things you do for others, wouldn't you agree? It's time to sit back and dream BIG about how you can add more fun and relaxation in your life. How about planning a vacation next year? How about a facial or massage? How about test driving the car of your dreams and making it a goal? How about planning to spend extra time with your family and friends?

Take a few minutes of quiet time and write at least one way you can enjoy yourself more in each of the following areas:

Personal:
Family:
Physical:
Professional:
Emotional/Spiritual:
Financial:
Social:
Community:

You owe it to yourself and the other important people in your life to take good care of your physical and emotional health. How can you be there for others if you aren't taking good care of yourself?

So, how do you reward yourself?

Rewarding yourself is living your life's mission.
Rewarding yourself is living your dreams.
Rewarding yourself is feeling proud of your accomplishments, big and small.
Rewarding yourself is sharing the message of high self-esteem with others.
Rewarding yourself is treating you with love, kindness and respect.
Rewarding yourself is taking special time for the things that make you happy.
Rewarding yourself is saying "no" without guilt.
Rewarding yourself is telling family and friends that you love them and believe in their dreams.
Rewarding yourself is empowering yourself to be self-confident, self-sufficient and self-assured.
Rewarding yourself is living a long, happy, healthy, fulfilled life.
Rewarding yourself is touching the lives of others for the better.
Rewarding yourself is forgiving yourself for your mistakes.
Rewarding yourself is making the money you deserve and spending some of that money on yourself and your loved ones.
Rewarding yourself loves you, "warts and all."

House of 1000 Mirrors

I received this motivation story through my email..

Long ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors .

A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house.

He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, " This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door.

When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."

A very beautiful story with an advice...

A simple man tells how his booking an air ticket for his father, his first flight, brought emotions and made him realize that how much we all take for granted when it comes to our parents.

My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to the airport to see them off. In fact, my father had never traveled by air before, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same. In spite of being asked to book tickets by train, I got them tickets on Lufthansa.

The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to see that I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on his face, waiting for the time of travel. Just like a school boy, he was preparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, right from using the trolley for his luggage, the baggage check-in and asking for window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in to happen.

He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome with joy watching him experience all these things.

As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me.

He became very emotional and it was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meant a great deal to him.

When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me.

But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life.

As a child how many dreams our parents have made come true. Without understanding the financial situation, we ask for football, dresses, toys, outings, etc. Irrespective of their affordability, they have satisfied to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices they had to make to accommodate many of our wishes?

Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us?

Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that we should put them in a good school. Regardless of the amount of donation, we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, theme parks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificed a lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility to ensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see when they were young, it is our responsibility to ensure that they experience all those and their life is complete.

Many times, when my parents had asked me some questions, I have actually answered back without patience. When my daughter asks me something, I have been very polite in answering. Now I realize how they would have felt at those moments.

Let us realize that old age is a second childhood and just as we take care of our children , the same attention and same care need to be given to our parents and elders.

Rather than my dad saying thank you to me, I would want to say sorry for making him wait so long for this small dream.

I do realize how much he has sacrificed for my sake and I will do my best to give the best possible attention to all their wishes. Just because they are old does not mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificing for their grandchildren also. They have wishes, too.

Let's Take care of our parents.

Good one........Touching Heart...

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"

The Son replied "It is a crow".

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"

The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time,

What is this?"

At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".

A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?"

This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT
IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and

I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".

While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".

Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.

Sleep when the wind blows

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast.
He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops. As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received a steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer.
"Are you a good farm hand?" the farmer asked him.
"Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man.
Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, hired him.

The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work.

Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the
little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!"

The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm.

To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred.

The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear.
Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life?
The hired hand in the story was able to sleep
because he had secured the farm against the storm.
I hope you enjoy your day and you sleep well.
